I’m James S. Kass Makin, a project manager based in the beautiful Faroe Islands. Originally from Jersey in the Channel Islands, famous for its golden beaches, Jersey Royals, and iconic Jersey cows, I moved to the Faroes in 2017 and have been proud to call it home ever since.
With experience spanning the IT industry, software development, infrastructure, Navision and Business Central, and professional and managed services, I’ve developed a well-rounded skill set. I’ve also worked extensively with first and second line support, gaining valuable insight into troubleshooting and operational efficiency.
I've achieved PRINCE2 and Agile Practitioner certifications, and bring a structured yet flexible approach to managing projects from conception to completion. I also have experience working within ITIL frameworks, ensuring that processes are efficient. Alongside project management, I have built practical Power BI reports, helping teams visualize their data to make informed decisions.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with passionate and skilled professionals, and I’m excited to continue building new partnerships and embracing fresh opportunities. My approach is shaped by transparency, open communication, and collaboration, and I take pride in being reliable, trustworthy, and professional in everything I do.
